Data Visualization Specialist
Daniel is a 2nd-year Cognitive Science Major with a Specialization in Computing at UCLA. He is deeply fascinated by the role artificial intelligence will play in shaping the future of marketing and content creation. As such, he was heavily involved in investigating the sentiment around ChatGPT3 in the marketing space. He helped create the visualizations, formulate the intro & rationale, and format the website.

Emma Flores Ramirez

Web Developer
3rd year Cognitive Science Major & Digital Humanities Minor As the Content Developer, Emma focused on considering the user's experience while navigating the website. She understood that ChatGPT is a revolutionary technology that needs attention amidst controversy. Designing the user interface, troubleshooting plugins and user problems, testing applications on the site, and making the website accessible were all essential in creating a website focusing on the impact of ChatGPT. Emma also worked on the data visualizations, audience, technical specifications, and findings.

Jennifer Bough

Content Developer
3rd year Sociology Major & Digital Humanities Minor Jennifer was the content developer for The Rise of AI. She helped make the visualizations, wrote the literature review, and formatted the annotated bibliography. She is interested in a career in marketing or public relations, which is the main reason for her interest in the research on ChatGPT in the marketing industry.

Jefferson Alade

Editor
4th-year Communication Major & Minor in Music Industry with a Breadth in Digital Humanities In his primary role as the editor, Jefferson demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence. In this capacity, he oversaw the writing's conciseness, quality, and overall flow of the website, ensuring that the final product was polished, professional and focused. Jefferson also contributed to the production of the writing, bringing his keen eye for detail and passion for storytelling to the project. In addition to his work on the writing, Jefferson helped with the creation of the project's data visualizations. He cleaned and analyze the data, and then used tools such as Voyant Tools and Tableau to create compelling visual representations that helped to bring the project to life. Furthermore, Jefferson led team brainstorming sessions, helping to align and focus the team on the overall goals of the project and ensuring that everyone was working towards a shared vision. Overall, Jefferson's passion for communication, music, and technology has made working on this project not only enjoyable but sparking a new found curiosity in AI. He wants to continue studying these emerging technologies with a humanistic and social science lens in order to keep humanity first albeit the rapid development of artificiality.

Noa Lehrer

Project Manager
3rd year Cognitive Science Major, Specialization in Computing, Digital Humanities minor As Project Manager, Noa led group work sessions and tracked progress on project components. She played a key role in data processing, analysis, and visualization. Noa immersed herself in the education side of the discourse around ChatGPT, helping to form the argument from that perspective. Elissa Soykin

Data Visualizer
Elissa is a 4th-year Computational and Systems Biology major at UCLA. She is fascinated by AI, and her interests and passions lie in machine learning, data science, software development, and coding. This project allowed her to put her technical experience in context, with a better understanding of the general public’s opinions towards AI tools like ChatGPT. For this project, Elissa worked on preparing and processing data, creating data visualizations (using software such as R, Tableau, and Gephi), writing analyses and parts of the content, and editing the website.
